1. Data Sovereignty & Localization

In compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, all records logged inside Kipimo relating to local Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), local representatives, and community beneficiary identification are hosted securely within East African regional cloud storage node points.

2. Developer Trade Secrets

We recognize that operational cost items and vendor contract details are highly sensitive trade secrets. Kipimo does not share granular operational cost lists with third-party buyers or public authorities, except where aggregated in NEMA compliance JSON exports explicitly generated and authorized by the project developer.

3. CBO Transparency Sharing

Community Trust access is restricted to read-only summaries of gross project revenue and net dividends calculated. Detailed operational expense invoices and payroll documents logged by developers remain hidden from beneficiary views unless developers opt to publish them.

4. National Registry Sync

When utilizing our one-click KNCR export bridges, compliance JSON schemas are submitted directly to the NEMA server endpoints. Once compiled and transmitted, data retention is subject to Designated National Authority regulatory guidelines and state record retention protocols.
